Three Players Were Ignored in NBA 2K24 Ratings

NBA Updates PH – The NBA 2K24 video game just put out its ratings for next season’s players (except for rookies, whose rates have yet to be released). Most of the grades for players were about right. But these three NBA 2K24 ratings seemed to be “snubbed” because their scores were too low for how good they were.

What’s good? Throughout the season, the game adjusts players’ scores based on how they have been playing. Let’s look at the numbers and talk about why these players should get more attention in NBA 2K24.

NBA 2K24 Ratings: 3 Players Who Were Ignored

NBA 2K24 No. 1: Jamal Murray, Denver Nuggets

Rating: 84 overall, 59th amongst current NBA players, and 17th amongst point guards.

NBA Champion Jamal Murray, who got a total score of 84, was one of the players who didn’t make the team. Murray himself saw the ranking, and he was unhappy about it. He said so on Twitter.

Murray was ranked 59th among all present NBA players and 17th among point guards, even though he played well in the playoffs with Nikola Jokic and helped Denver win its first-ever NBA title.

Murray won the NBA Championship at the end of the 2022-23 season, and his regular season stats show how much of an effect he had on the court. He tallied 20 points, 6.2 assists, 4 rebounds, and 1 steal per game. He shot 45 percent of the time and 40 percent of the time.

Overall, Murray’s stats from the regular season and during Denver Nuggets historic playoff run show that his overall rating in NBA 2K24 needs to represent his skills and effect on the court fully. Instead of being 17th, he should be closer to the top ten point guards.

No. 2: Alex Caruso, Chicago Bulls

Rating: 76 overall, 237th amongst current NBA players, and 45th amongst point guards.

Alex Caruso, a two-way guard, was also left out. During the 2022–23 season, Caruso averaged 5.6 points, 2.9 assists, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.5 steals. He shot 46 percent, 36 percent, and 81 percent of the time. Caruso’s accomplishments on the court can’t be ignored, even though his NBA 2K24 rating and statistics aren’t great. He is a winner who does things other than score, especially on the defensive end, which makes him a good player.

Caruso’s defensive skills were clear last season when he averaged an amazing 1.5 steals per game. This showed how well he could disrupt opponents and force them to make mistakes. His RAPTOR rate is another number that shows how good he is at defense and how much he can help a team win. Caruso is about a six on defense, which, for reference, was the most of any NBA player last season. It was one point better than Brook Lopez’s score of five, which was second best.

Caruso’s lower overall grade in NBA 2K24 is hard to understand since he is a valuable player on both ends of the court and can help in many different ways.

No. 3: Nicolas Batum, Los Angeles Clippers

Rating: 74 overall, 343rd amongst current NBA players, and 74th amongst power forwards.

Nicolas Batum averaged 6.1 points, 1.6 assists, 3.8 rebounds, and 0.7 steals per game last season. He shot 42.9%, 39.1%, and 71.7% from the field. Batum’s numbers are also skewed because he only played an average of 21.9 minutes per game last season. His numbers stay on the page like Caruso’s do. But he is another player who helps the team win.

Batum is a 34-year-old experienced player who would be a great role player for your team in the playoffs. He is a great floor player, as shown by the fact that he made 33% of his three-point shots last season. He’s also a good passer who needs more credit. You can’t rush him because he always makes the right read. Batum isn’t the fastest player, even for his age. But at 6’8″, he is the perfect size for a stretch four in the modern game.

Batum’s well-rounded game, which includes his shooting, size, high IQ, and experience as a veteran, means that his overall rating in NBA 2K24 should be better than 74. Put another way; there aren’t 73 other power players that teams would pick over Batum going into next season.
