Denver Nuggets

This season, the Denver Nuggets’ starting lineup revolved around Nikola Jokic. With Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. unavailable, the team was forced to rely on an unusual set of starters. In Murray’s absence this season, Monte Morris has taken over at point guard and become a regular starter. When healthy, Will Barton and Aaron Gordon are also regulars in the lineup. This season, Jeff Green has been the other starter for Denver, but that will most likely change next season. The Denver Nuggets’ starting lineups, both confirmed and predicted, may be found here.

Starting Lineup Analysis

The Nuggets’ starting lineup was destroyed by injuries even before the season began, as Jamal Murray was injured in the playoffs last season. Michael Porter Jr. failed to recover from an injury and ended up missing the entire series. As a result, Nikola Jokic was forced to carry the team on his back. Jokic was the team’s leader in almost every aspect. Aaron Gordon and Will Barton were the next best choices around him, starting 43 games with Jokic.

This season, Denver’s backcourt was a constant rotation of Monte Morris, Will Barton, Austin Rivers, and Facundo Campazzo. This sums up Jokic’s MVP Campaign well.
