Unexpected Golden State Warriors Player Shines Against the Sacramento Kings

Golden State Warriors - Trayce Jackson-Davis

Trayce Jackson-Davis started his first NBA game with the Warriors against the Sacramento Kings. He did a great job. It was against Domantas Sabonis on Wednesday night that Jackson-Davis scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as a starter.

“It was a lot of fun,” Jackson-Davis said. “Being able to go against a talent like that on this stage at home, getting my first start, just soaking it all in, was a great experience.”

As the 57th pick in the 2023 NBA draft, Jackson-Davis showed that the Warriors could get a lot for him. On the day of the game, he didn’t even know that he would start.

“The biggest lesson I take is just enjoying the process,” Jackson-Davis said. “I found out this morning that I was going to start, just always being ready to have your name called. Playing with my teammates, the vets, shout out to Rudy, Draymond, CP3, Steph, just helping me even in shootaround earlier today being in the right spots knowing what to do on the floor.”

It’s been shown over and over again that the Golden State Warriors can pick very well. The team’s title run has been built on picking up Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green in the draft. Trayce Jackson-Davis must do well in the regular season to show how good he is.
