The Raptors stunk last year, which is why they made so many changes to their roster. Scottie Barnes, Goran Dragic, Gary Trent, Precious Achiuwa, Sam Dekker, Isaac Bonga, Dalano Banton, Ishmail Wainright, David Johnson, and Justin Champagnie are among the Raptors’ free agents and draft picks. That appears to be a pretty good offseason for a squad that was dead before April began until you consider how much they lost this offseason.
Kyle Lowry, the franchise’s long-time face, is no longer with the organization, and Aron Baynes, Rodney Hood, DeAndre Bembry, Paul Watson, and Jalen Harris have also left. Pascal Siakim is now seen as Toronto’s top offensive option this season, and we’ll find out quickly whether all of those moves convert into wins in a competitive Eastern Conference.
