Rodney McGruder just finished a season with the Detroit Pistons in which he played in 32 games.
The seven-year NBA pro averaged 5.7 points, 2.3 rebounds, 40.8% field goal shooting, and 42.3% three-point shooting per game.
McGruder became a free agent this summer, and Shams Charania and Anthony Slater of The Athletic claimed on Monday that he will now sign a deal with the Golden State Warriors.
Via Charania: “Free agent forward Rodney McGruder is finalizing a deal with the Golden State Warriors, sources tell me and @anthonyVslater. McGruder will compete for a roster spot in Warriors camp.”

McGruder has played for more than just the Detroit Pistons. He has also been on the Los Angeles Clippers and the Miami Heat.
In 317 regular season games, he has averaged 5.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game. He has shot 42.0% from the field and 36.0% from three-point range.
The 32-year-old has also played nine NBA playoff games with the Heat and Clippers.
McGruder is a solid veteran, so if he can make the Warriors team, he could be a great addition.

The Warriors had a 44-38 record last season, which put them in the sixth spot in the Western Conference.
In the first round of the NBA playoffs, they beat the Sacramento Kings in seven games, but in the second round, they lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in six games.
Over the past nine seasons, the team has achieved four NBA championship victories.
