The NBA playoffs bracket for 2022 has begun. Twenty teams qualified for the postseason, but that number will be reduced to 16 by Friday night following the play-in tournament, with the first round of the postseason beginning on Saturday, April 16. Following a season full of surprises, the title race appears to be wide open in both conferences, with plenty of intriguing first-round matchups. But it all starts with the play-in tournament, which begins Tuesday night. OKBET has made its predictions for the series and the series winner.
The seventh-cultivated Nets crushed the Cavaliers in the East and will confront the No. 2 Celtics in the first round. In the West, the Timberwolves beat the Clippers as they land the No. 7 seed and the opportunity to play the upstart Grizzlies in a best-of-seven series. The Hawks and the Pelicans figured out how to progress from their play-in games on Wednesday night and will face the Cavaliers and Clippers, separately, to figure out which groups at the last seeds at the end of the season games. You can track down our master play-in forecasts here.
The first round will begin on Saturday afternoon, with the fourth-seeded Mavericks hosting the fifth-seeded Jazz at 1 p.m. ET. The 76ers-Raptors, Warriors-Nuggets, and Grizzlies series against the West’s No. 7 seed will all begin on Saturday, with the remaining four series beginning on Sunday.
