Minnesota Timberwolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves are still figuring out their youthful starting lineup. They have Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns, both of whom are quite skilled. Both have been the top scorers in this starting lineup, with D’Angelo Russell coming in second. Minnesota’s “Big 3” are finally on their way to a playoff spot, and they deserve it. Jarred Vanderbilt and Patrick Beverley have been key role players in the 2021/22 season. This club can score points, but will they be able to defend when it counts? The Timberwolves’ predicted and confirmed starting lineups may be seen here.

Starting Lineup Analysis

D’Angelo Russell has had a turbulent NBA career over his first six seasons. He’s played for the Los Angeles Lakers, the Brooklyn Nets, the Golden State Warriors, and now the Minnesota Timberwolves. Russell has averaged 21.1 points, 6.5 assists, and 3.6 rebounds per game in 2018-19. Russell and KAT get along brilliantly and have tremendous synergy, so while Minnesota may not be very good, those two are.

Anthony Edwards, the No. 1 overall choice in the 2020 NBA Draft, enters his second season after an excellent rookie season. Last season, Edwards averaged 19.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.9 assists, and all signs point to a spectacular increase this season. Edwards is said to have grown to 6-foot-6, which is terrifying for a player with his extraordinary quickness. If Edwards can increase his shooting efficiency, both from the field and from behind the arc, he will be able to take the next huge step and become a star in this league. Karl-Anthony Towns has been Minnesota’s starting center since he was drafted and has had a fantastic track record of staying healthy up until the last two seasons.

He only missed five games in his first four seasons. It didn’t take long for K.A.T. to develop into their strongest offensive threat after being drafted. Last year, he averaged 24.8 points, 4.5 assists, and 10.6 rebounds, and he only appears to be getting better. KAT will likely be Minnesota’s top offensive option, but he must also demonstrate that he can be a more effective defensive presence.
