James Harden

After an up-and-down first round, James Harden and the Philadelphia 76ers progressed to the Eastern Conference playoffs.

James Harden had a solid game, scoring 19 points and dishing out 10.2 assists in 40.6 minutes. While shooting 40.5 percent from the field and 38.2 percent from beyond the arc.

He struggled in games 2, 4, and 5 but closed off the series against the Toronto Raptors with excellent performances in games 1, 3, and 6.

However, he did not perform well against the Miami Heat in Game 1 of the ECSF.

With nine rebounds, five assists, and five turnovers, he scored 16 points on 5-13 shooting from the field. 2-7 from beyond the arc, and 4-4 from the line.

James Harden’s problems in Game 5 of the first round and Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Are especially concerning since they occurred. When Joel Embiid tore a ligament in his thumb (Game 5) and was unable to play due to an orbital fracture and moderate concussion (Game 1).

“The Beard” to Philadelphia to relieve the pressure on Embiid, who expects to handle the offense.

When Harden sat, he expected things easier for Joel while maintaining offensive effectiveness.

That hasn’t been the case thus far.

According to the early playoff and regular season results, Harden cannot lead the 76ers without Embiid.

James Harden doesn’t have the same level of ferocity as he had in Houston.

It’s a problem, whether it’s because of his hamstring problems or growing older.

It’s a concern whether it’s because of his hamstring issues or because he’s getting older.

He can finish near the hoop, tossing a lob to a rolling center or kicking out to an open shooter.

It hasn’t occurred with Philly, and when it has, his lack of burst has hampered his ability to finish in the paint.

James Harden’s half-court finishes have nearly all consisted of floaters and layups, except one slam in Game 6.
