Bucks vs. Celtics picks and predictions

Prediction

Celtics 115, Bucks 112

Money line

The Celtics must counterpunch in order to win at home, but we’re not prepared to take -190 on it.

Against the spread

Game 2 Boston Celtics: Marcus Smart took a pair of shots to his quadriceps, putting his chances in this one in jeopardy. It’s unlikely to keep him out, but it might restrict his mobility. Smart’s perimeter stifling contributed to the Celtics having the best defense in the NBA. The Celtics’ rebounding will also need to improve after Milwaukee had four players with nine rebounds in Game 1.

Tatum takes control of this game, but G Jaylen Brown must make more than 12 points on 4-of-13 shooting. The Bucks are only 1-7 ATS in their previous eight games with the Red Sox, but I don’t see them laying 4.5 points, and I don’t see Boston dropping both at home. Take BUCKS +4.5. (-107). However, it would help if you acted soon since the spread is expected to fall with 58 percent of the cash and tickets on Milwaukee this morning.

Over/Under

The Over is 8-2 in the previous ten meetings, with one of those Unders coming in Game 1. Aside from Game 1, this number would have reached in the previous nine games. Al Horford of the Boston Celtics has quietly hit 54.2 percent from 3-point shooting in the playoffs. Expect him to continue stretching the defense to create gaps for Brown and Tatum to drive through. Milwaukee outscored Boston 28-8 on fast-break points. That will be emphasized even more when backup PG Derrick White enters the game.

When Giannis played 38 minutes in Game 1, the Bucks were a plus-23. The Celtics will want to force him into foul trouble and take advantage of C Brook Lopez, who was a minus-10 last season. To cut a long tale short, Boston will be much superior offensively, therefore let’s LEAN OVER 215.5. (-108).
