Golden State Warriors

The Warriors’ starting lineup continues to be dominated by health concerns. In the absence of Klay Thompson, Stephen Curry led the team most nights this season as the primary point guard, but Jordan Poole also took on a larger role. When Thompson is healthy, the traditional Splash Brothers lineup will take the field. Andrew Wiggins is now the small forward while Draymond Green is the four. As James Wiseman recovers from an injury, Kevon Looney has started the majority of the games at center this season. Due to injuries, the Warriors’ starting lineup is still in flux; you can check confirmed and anticipated lineups here.

Starting Lineup Analysis

This season, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson have both missed time, as has Draymond Green. In this season we have seen a lot of changes and a lot of youth come up for the Warriors. This season, Jonathan Kuminga and Jordan Poole both saw action.

If the Warriors are totally healthy heading into the postseason, Poole will return to the bench as the sixth man. With no Wiseman this year and few bigs capable of guarding opposing centers, the frontcourt depth is a little low. That will be a problem for them in the West.
