Giannis Antetokounmpo made NBA history in the 76ers-Bucks game

The Milwaukee Bucks will play the Philadelphia 76ers for their first game of the 2023–24 regular season on Thursday night.

It was during the game that Giannis Antetokounmpo went up on the NBA’s all-time list for most rebounds.

He had 6,891 rebounds going into the game, which ties him with NBA Champion Antoine Walker for 124th all-time.

For the 124th spot on the list, Antetokounmpo went ahead of Walker with his first rebound of the game.

Rudy LaRusso (6,936) is the next man Antetokounmpo will pass to.

Antetokounmpo is already one of the 50 greatest players ever. Last year, he had a great year. He hit 55.3% of his field goals and averaged 31.1 points, 11.8 boards, and 5.7 assists per game.

The 20-year-old was picked 15th in the 2013 NBA Draft. This is his 11th season in the league, and all of them have been with the Bucks.

He has played in 719 regular season games and has averaged 22.6 PTS, 9.6 REB, 4.7 AST, 1.1 STL, and 1.3 BLK per game. He has also made 53.7% of his field goal shots.

The Bucks had the best record in the NBA last year (58-24), which put them in first place in the Eastern Conference.

In the first round of the playoffs, though, they lost to the Miami Heat.

The team has made the playoffs seven years in a row and beat the Phoenix Suns to win the NBA title in 2021.

They also traded for All-Star Damian Lillard during the off-season, which gives them a great chance to make it back to the NBA Finals in 2024.

After playing the 76ers, the Bucks will host the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday, their next game.
