Chris Silva Atlanta Hawks

Chris Silva only played in one game for the Dallas Mavericks last season.

The former South Carolina star played in the G League for the Atlanta Hawks‘ affiliate team, the College Park Skyhawks. In 21 regular season games and 18 Showcase Cup games, he averaged 14.1 points, 9.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.3 blocks per game while shooting 51.5% from the field.

Chris Silva was a free agent this summer, and on Monday, the Hawks said they had signed him (thanks to Kevin Chouinard of Hawks.com for the information).

Today, Hawks PR said the Atlanta Hawks had signed forward Chris Silva. Per team policy, the details of the deal were not made public.

Silva has played for the Mavs, the Miami Heat, the Sacramento Kings, and the Minnesota Timberwolves over a four-season span.

In 70 regular season games, the 27-year-old has averaged 2.8 points and 2.7 rebounds per game and shot 60.9% from the field.

Silva played in a career-high 44 regular-season games during his first year with the Heat. He averaged 3.0 points and 2.9 rebounds per game and shot 61.5% from the field.

The Hawks had a 41-41 record last season, which put them in the seventh spot in the Eastern Conference.

In the play-in event, they beat the Miami Heat, but Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics beat them in six games in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

The team has been in the NBA playoffs for three years in a row.
