The NBA changed the rules for the 2024 NBA All-Star Game today. It will take place on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, home to the Indiana Pacers.
To honor the NBA’s long history in Indiana, the Eastern Conference and the Western Conference will play each other again in the 73rd All-Star Game. The game will also use the traditional scoring system with four 12-minute quarters. The way people vote for the NBA All-Stars will remain the same. Twelve players from each conference will be picked.

The NBA All-Star Game will no longer have an untimed fourth quarter or end when one team hits or beats the Final Target Score. However, each team will still be competing to win each quarter for a charity of their choice.
Team leaders will still be named to lead their teams for the NBA All-Star Game. The NBA All-Star starter from each conference who gets the most votes from fans in that conference during the AT&T NBA All-Star Voting will be the leader.
The 2024 NBA All-Star Game will be shown on TNT in the US. More than 50 languages will be available for fans in more than 200 countries and areas. The NBA All-Star Game will be held in Indianapolis for the first time since 1985.
